The Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), a Special Operating Agency (SOA) associated with Industry Canada, is responsible for the administration and processing of the patent in Canada which cover new inventions (process, machine, manufacture, composition of matter), or any new and useful improvement of an existing invention.

 

The Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) maintains the Canadian Patent Bibliographic Database that extends from '89 to the present. By visiting their website, you can retrieve and search the patent database over 1,500,000 patents by patent area, patent number, patent date and so on.
